Has anyone else received a telephone call from the Naval Academy Admissions asking if they received their appointment? i got a call on Monday asking about that, and i returned it this morning, but they didn't tell me anything (just left a message for the person who called me). I always tend to worry, so i was just trying to figure out if this is a normal occurance or if there is something mixed up with the application.

Very weird. Maybe they mailed one and it never got to you and they were just checking up on you. If you ask me, it's a good sign. Maybe that means they will be sending one.

i wish i received a call like that. :)

EDIT: I was reading your other posts and you stated you had already received an appointment 1/4/05. Possibly you were talking about an loa...I'm confused.

I did receive a call last week. I think it is normal just to insure that nothing was lost in the mail. It is a good feeling because it is kind of reaffirming.

jq722--yeah, it was an appointment. i filled out the forms (with a huge smile on my face as i checked yes on the acceptance one!) and sent it back in on the 10th.

hbc025--thanks for the reply. to be honest, i was worried that i had been sent an appointment by mistake. But then, i always have been one to imagine the worst. i am very happy to learn that you have received an appointment too. Congrats, and see you soon.

does everyone get called? i got my appointment in nov. but no one called me!

i have no idea. Perhaps they just call the ones that were sent around christmas b/c the postal system is so busy then.

ok hehe i can breathe again

Perhaps they are still waiting for the acceptance to the appointment reply.
