<p>oh my gosh they send them out at 8 am tomorrow? lol i will not be able to focus at all in my first 2 classes</p>

<p>holy crap. its tomorrow. haha. i applied to mites, yess, questbridge, ssp, sstp, monell, carneige, clark and hsap. haha that is alot now that i think about it. </p>
<p>i already got in to sstp @ FU and HSAP @ duke but turned it down since sstp apparently dont give out fiancial aid to non-florida students (they should’ve said that in their freaking website, then i wouldn’t have spent money for mailing and time (like 5 hours) filling it out), and HSAP makes you put up flyers and fetch material and provide no housing. great.</p>

<p>I got a mail from MITES. WOOT! I thought it was next monday, but w/o even an email, an acceptance package. I was dying for my YESS letter today but since it was my 2nd choice and i got into my first, i don’tt care much anymore.</p>
<p>looking at the last year’s post, it seems like YESS stuffs are emailed @6-8ish western time. so…3-4 more hours? i got rejected from Clark which i don’t care, but if i were to know that i got into YESS, it would make me feel that my MITES acceptance wasn’t really a luck. hehe.</p>
<p>I thought you are an asian. How did you get in MITES? Could you share with us?</p>
<p>MITES isn’t only for hispanics and blacks. A guy who went there last year (he got early to MIT), told me about experiences and stuffs, and he was also asian. he said about 3-5 people out of 70 were asian.</p>

MITES doesn’t do e-mail.
I thought there were 80 people picked for MITES ?

<p>Asians can apply to MITES… although only a few get accepted.</p>

<p>Thanks prjiki, now I won’t frantically be refreshing gmail assuming that them not sending it means a rejection. It was bound to happen with the expansion of the deadline and the application issues they were having.</p>
