i def didn’t realize the minority part until i sent in everything
i’m soooooooo smart, eh?

hahah
congrats on the acceptance though!

Thanks for the info mvz315. much appreciated

92akire92,
Yeah, I’m a minority.
Also, by the time that I applied, I hadn’t taken the SAT or ACT.
And I’m pretty sure that my PSAT was pretty low(under 70 for math).
I had also gotten bad scores of AP Bio and AP World History(3 and 3).
I think what saved me was that I was in Multivariable Calc, had a clean transcript, and was super involved in school. Oh, and my essay was pretty decent as well.

And for everyone else that applied,
I wish you the best of luck!
I spoke with the person in charge of the YESS program last week and she said that there were a record number of applicants this year.
There were over 750, but there are still only 30 spots.
So for the 4% of you that get in, you should feel super honored :)

4%!!! Whoa… i should’ve waited too look here… =(
Oh well…Im still hopefull!!! Still Prayin!!!

woah 2 more days T_T

one more day!

-deep breaths-

O_O

Are there any other IB kids applying?

with 750 applicants, i’m sure a good portion are from IB

With these credentials, does anyone know what my chances of getting in are…?

Grade: 10
AP Classes: World History and Calculus AB
PSAT: Math 72
GPA: 98%
Extracurriculars: Newspaper Club (Staff writer), Math Team, Business Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, Academic team, FBLA, Science olympiad.

you guys know the program is for minorities…right?

i wish someone who got in would post their stats. its gonna be really tough this year…
