If I were a medianman and i value the integrity of my job, i wouldn't work in china even if I wre offered a miliion dollar salary per year. Indeed, the "great wall" still thrives in the mainland' it serves as a huge stumbling block among the media men to eliver what they want and what they intend to share to the public. China is the perfect example that media alone doesn't determine what to give to the people. and so, if it's not them, then who decides on this matter?

Rapidly becoming a superpower nation, China came ito spotlight in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. People around the world got a peek on how it feels like to live in the mainland. Many people witnesed how president Hujintao and his group of dictator leaders dicated what the media could and should write aobut. if the government deemed a certain news item to be. "unfit" for public viewing, censorship would come into play almost instantly.
Although the media itself is giong through a cmmercialization process according to president Hu jintao, his governemnt can not allow any form of threat that would endanger his regime. People should and must be "protected" according to him. Even the internet did not escape Mr. Hujintao's watchful eyes. it's amazing how they maintain block out and prevvent pepole from accessing certain topics, considering that china has more than 3330million online surfuers.
the government , as evidenced by what happend in 2007 when CNN was cut off the air while featureing a segment on Falungong, a certain cult religion in China.

In an ideal world, the media should be able to determine what's important for people. Unvortunately, that is not ways the case. wheter they like it or not, f they live in a place like china, they are bound to abide by certain rules which deprive them of this freedom.
