well, hmm if biology is an impacted major I'd say UCLA/UCB: slight reach
if it isn't: match

Do really well on your essays...I believe the comprehensive review will help you. Perhaps you can write about your difficulties in learning English.

^ exactly
in ur essay, make sure u write about how u came from a different country and struggled with the language etc etc and now after a few years u are doing so much better

If you need any help with your personal statements, don't hesitate to ask to me when the time comes. I just got into ucb and ucla recently and I was going crazy throughout the whole process. Posting here certainly helped my anxiousness quite a bit however...In any case, if you have any questions, I'd be glad to help you in which ever way I can. =]

W's dont seem to big for ucla or ucb. malishka got in with 17 w's or something. and 3.7 is not too bad, but i don't know how impacted it is. i say if you really wanna go, then you'd get the grades you think are necessary to get you in.

A friend of mine just got into Cal as a bio major with a 3.3. I would suggest (assuming you live near berk) that you call someone from the department and try to get an internship or some small job helping a professor. THat's what got her in.
