Can i get into purdue? If not, what schools would be matches

School Stats:
GPA: 3.63 UW 3.75 W (My school only offers 4 ap classes) (grades are on an upward trend, since middle school which was a 1.6)
Class Rank: Top 20%

SAT: 1870 CR:620 M:650 W:600 (no studying/sleeping in the test so i'm planning on retaking)
I think i can at least get a 2000+ so would that improve my chances by a lot?
ACT: didn't take yet

Major: Electrical engineering

Senior Year:
Ap Calculus AB (outside of school)
Ap Literature
Ap Chemistry
Ap Physics B (outside of school)
Programming
Electronics 3
Introduction to Engineering Design (PLTW)
do they look at senior year grades?

Extracurricular activities
Chess club 4 years (president, vice president, and treasurer)
School's Engineering Academy 4 years (various competition awards)
Robotics 3 years (FRC electrical team and a few awards)
Cross country 2 years (varsity)
Law society/Mock trial team 2 years
Cyber patriots 2 years
Leo club 2 years

robotics required 50+ hours a week so that prevented me from being committed to other ECs

I don't know if this is worth mentioning in my college app, i pretty much did these to have fun
Physics and astronomy club 2 years
Japanese club 3 years
math club 2 years
anime club 3 years

Volunteering-
30+ hours at Institute for human services ( same reason why i have so little ECs)

Some schools i'm also applying to (OOS for everything)
Illinois institute of technology
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
University of Minnesota - twin cities
Arizona State University/University of Arizona ( I don't know which one to apply to)
UCLA ( UC gpa is 3.8 UW, 3.9W)
California Polytechnic State University ( gpa is same as above)

Essay- should be above average
Recs - average

Purdue: match
IIT: low match
UIUC: high match
UCLA: reach
Cal Poly SLO: high match (i think, not too sure though…)

Purdue - match
IIT - low match
UIUC - match
UMN - match
UCLA - match

What is your home state?
Your GPA is a bit low for top engineering schools. Your SAT too. You may try Minnesota. Purdue would be a bit hard unless you are in state. Not to mention UIUC and UCLA. Your SAT and GPA are both below 25% for these 2 engineering. They would be definitely reach for you.

Thanks guys! Well i’m from hawaii and there aren’t many choices here… what kinda of SAT would i need for UIUC and UCLA to be a match or at least a high match/low reach?

2000+ in my opinion

I see well hopefully i do well in October’s sat X_X, are there any match schools that i didn’t list with my stats?

For UIUC, mid 50 SAT CR+M is 1360-1480 (31-34 for ACT). For UCLA engineering, aim for 2100.

I see, do you think i would have a better chance in UCD’s engineering with my current stats?

thanks for everything btw! :D

bumpp!! i need more opinions please :)

Bump!! kinda changed list of OOS schools

Seattle University
Oregon State University
San Jose State University
Cal State Long beach
Rochester Institute of Technology

thanks in advance!
