Can I get into the UMass system?

I'm a senior, taking a gap year, spending it working part time doing grocery stuff, working two internships, one with an optical engineer and the other hopefully at google, also I'll be putting together a business plan based around a number of inventions I've been working on

So I have a 2.7 GPA which is crap but I go to a pretty competitive school, it's not scaled either and I've taken a lot of honors english, science and math classes which is yet to be factored in, I also hear a 3.0 at my school is a 4.0 at many others

I got a 1570 on my SATs with out studying and during my gap year I plan on taking it again, this coming fall, I've heard I have a pretty moving and stellar college essay too.

Anyways I was just wondering what I have a chance to get into?
I live in massachusetts and really love the UMass system and would love getting into one of them for engineering or physics and was wondering what chance I have for getting into Umass Lowell to Amherst or Boston

That GPA won’t do much for you regardless of your SAT scores. You definitely won’t get into UMass Amherst and your chances don’t look good at UMass Lowell either. I would suggest UMass Boston. I know they are willing to take a chance on a student with a low GPA that shows some potential.

your chances are pretty crap. it sounds like your sugarcoating it. why wouldn’t you study for SATs? thats what the PSATs are for…but then again UMass is a pretty crappy system so you might get in. Maybe go to community college first (if you make that hahaahahah)

Baloney!

I also hear a 3.0 at my school is a 4.0 at many others

LOL such BS. cmon man, do you think the colleges care about what ‘you hear’. smh such an idiot!
