Hi there Kazy! Your GPA is a great flashy star in your application, but as I’m sure you may know by now… It’s hard to say a lot about UF due to their hollistics admissions. You should definitly retake the ACT and try to get a 28+ to be competitive. As for your ECs, not too bad; the community service is nice. I wouldn’t really know how to chance you though to be honest, but I’d say a high match/low reach until you get that ACT score up. What do you intend to major in? Good luck!

@AGoodFloridian thank you so much! I’m not quite sure exactly what I want to major in. Possibly public health. Speaking of majors does Major also increase or decrease your chance of getting in?

From what I’ve heard, it doesn’t affect your chances at UF. At some universities, some majors (engineering, psychology, etc…) are more “competitive” (better yet, have less seats) than other courses so one would consequently have to apply as soon as possible. So yeah, if I’m not mistaken, when you apply to UF, you do exactly that as opposed to a specific college/major.
