I finished my junior year and my worse year was this year where I failed math 3 second semester and received some low grades throughout the year. I moved to the U.S about 6 years old as someone who couldn’t even speak English, and now I’m fluent in Farsi, English, Spanish and a little of Arabic and when I moved here, it was hard to be used to the school system in the U.S. As well I lived in Hungary for 2 years ( second and third grade). I’ve been part of my school’s JV soccer team for the past three years and I was a captain sophomore year. As well, I’ve been part of the club for the past 4 years and we’ve won many national tournaments. I was also part of the track team for two years and one year of cross country. I’m also an intern for an orthodontist doctor, and I also have +300 hours of volunteer work. This upcoming summer I’m planning to get a job and try something new. I’m also taking up to 10 units of courses at a community college this summer to get some of the credits. Next year, I’m going to take three AP classes, and I already have three letters of recommendation. Last summer when I visited my country, I was part of the red cross team and helping the people who were in the Earthquake, and I fed many kids. I’ve also done many other activities and the clubs at my school. I was wondering even if I have a poor academic record, can my ACT score and my extra activities replace that?
