Can non-Haas students take business classes?

I'm interested in business, real estate, the stock market, and investing but I'm not interested in being a business major. I just want to take some classes for personal development- I really want to be knowledgeable about my own money when I'm older and I'd like to invest a little (especially in real estate). Would I be able to take classes like that at UCB even though I wouldn't be a business major?

Yup. However, you’ll be put on the waitlist to make room for Haas students during registration. Once everything settles in (hopefully), you’ll then be enrolled into the class.

Cool. Are there any specific classes you recommend?

UGBA 103 (with Opp if possible)
UGBA 104
UGBA 131

In addition to the classes listed above, I’d check out the three-digit classes in Haas numbered 18x (namely UGBA 180, 183, 184 and 187). These are tailored to real estate. You can find further information about them here: [Course Information, Undergraduate Program, Berkeley-Haas](<a href=“Courses - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas”>Courses - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas). I’d also check out the UGBA 196 sections taught by Selinger - these aren’t real estate relate but deal with personal finance, so it may be of interest to you and is of interest to many students outside of Haas (and even a lot within Haas).

These classes are hard to get into because of low priority given to non-Haas students - I’d continuously keep an eye on them near the adjustment period/the beginning of the semester and jump on any open seats if you see them.
