I'm trying for UCSD/UCI but am slightly apprehensive that I won't get in, particularly because of my first year grades.

I didn't do TAG this year because I didn't know anything about it until now.
So if I'm not admitted for Fall 2010, can I reapply next year under TAG for the next term?

If the answer is yes, what would I be doing next Fall? Taking more community college credits?

i’m sure you can…i know that the bioengineering department at cal says that many students are rejected but after spending another year become more competitive and try again without any penalty…i would assume it’d be the same for haas

if u drop a class do u get the W at the end of the semester when u get ur grades? and if i dropped a class that was 3 units…i dont get those 3 units right?

Yes you can reapply as many times as you want. As to what you would be doing, that’s entirely up to you. You could take more classes, find a job, volunteer, etc. It’s in your hands.

yes u can reapply to haas. but i dont know what the point of that would be. if u didn’t get in the 1st time ur chances of getting in the 2nd time is slim. u might as well go to ur backup school and finish 1 ye earlier rather than wait another yr to possibly get into haas. the only reason y anyone should reapply to haas if they were considered ineligible the 1st time. but if u already completed ur prereqs and were eligible and still got denied, then i would just move on and go to USC or something

^there are exceptions, i just recently graduated from high school and started college but thanks to lots of ap’s and summer classes i will be eligible for haas and so i’m applying this yr…but i don’t think my chances are great since i’ll be meeting most of the requirements during the winter and spring quarter at my cc so haas will have few grades to work off of and i’ve started on some ec’s in college but i havn’t had time to make them very meaningful in just one quarter…so i believe it would be very worthwhile to try again next yr if i don’t get in
