Cancel Scores and shoot for December?

What do you guys think? I came home thinking I did okay and then my mom got really mad at me…

I took it once in May and got 2190. (Math = omit 1, 2 blank, Writing = massive ******** and CR= -3) So 740, 690, 760 which is okay.

I took it today (International, basically a slightly modified June 2008) test and:

Left 2 math questions blank (usually never happens) and hopefully I didn't make any other dumb mistakes
CR seemed ok
Writing was idk. I had a 3 example essay that filled all the space, 35Q section seemed good, 14 Q section seemed ok too.

Retake or wait?

All advice will very much appreciated!

It all depends on where you are applying. Will it matter if the admissions officers see a sub-par score? At 90% of the colleges it will not. But are you aiming for that top 10%? And how will you feel if you cancel and get a great score?

In my experience, it is really hard to write three well-developed supporting paragraphs in 25 minutes. Two examples is usually what I aim for, because I have more time to dedicate to them. I am a consistent 11 and 12 point scorer (and I take the test often).

For CR+M you already have a 1500. That’s a very good score just about everywhere. It will rarely make or break an application at even the most selective schools.

Why is your Mom really mad at you?

Don’t cancel them. Your scores are fine. And I guess they will be fine for the latest test too.

Cry me a river. Your scores are fine.
