How do you check the portal if you don’t have a temporary pin?
I accepted my spot on the wait list today Still so disappointed.
Seems like a tough year. Son waitlisted in WA, despite 4.0 GPA with lots of AP & honors, 2300 SAT, high subject test scores, & some decent extracurriculars. (sigh)
@dbbird Yeah it must have been very competitive. My stats are similar to your son’s. Is he accepting his spot on the wait list?
@alleycat2 It’ll depend what schools he gets accepted to. We’ve got a bunch of notifications yet to go, for many other great schools.
@alleycat2 good luck with the waitlist! What is your top choice school now? Did you get into UNC?
@Joe2015 Thank you! I actually didn’t end up applying to UNC after I found out that I didn’t advance to the finalist round for the Morehead Cain Scholarship. Right now my top choices are SMU, GWU, Northeastern, Rensselaer, and Cal Poly SLO I’m still waiting for a few other schools too… Congrats on getting into Carleton btw!
Does anyone know what the acceptance rate was this year? or how many people applied regular? I was accepted but I am just curious.
I thought I heard that for the ED I and II acceptance rate was 23%, not sure about RD or overall acceptance rate
does anyone know when decisions are going to be posted online. international applicant here. did not receive mail
They were posted online ages ago… Log into the portal and click view update.
my portal has nothing at all
If your portal does not have anything, contact the office of admissions. Mistakes happen.
Wow. Admitted to Stanford and Wait Listed at Carleton. Everything seems so random!
What colleges is everyone debating between at the moment? I’ve looked through Carleton vs. Vassar, Carleton vs. Brown forums and honestly I think the only way to finalize my decision is via visiting.
I agree. It is easy to make lists comparing different schools, but the list won’t include the intangibles, the vibe.
I’m narrowed my top two down to Carleton and Kenyon. This will be an extremely difficult decision to make…
Yes, a difficult decision here as well, Carleton or Duke. Yes, very different schools. Any opinions?
@Joe2015 I guess it depends on what sort of atmosphere you’re interested in, academically and socially.
@Joe2015 What do you like most about each school?
