I'm currently a second semester freshman at NYU in CAS pursuing my BA in Economics and probably going to pursue a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology (if I stay in CAS). I've been told that with a major in Econ, you are pretty much open to any job. I like economics, but I don't necessarily like it at CAS, and I've been very disappointed with the way that CAS does things -- I feel like I have no help with getting internships, making connections etc. I would prefer to be in a smaller school (at NYU) and study something I am extremely interested in. Also, I don't really want to go to grad school....

My career goals: Operations & Management of nightlife, hospitality business, fashion business, business of entertainment (something along those lines)

So, I came across the SCPS undergraduate B.S. in Hotel and Tourism, and I think this is right up my alley.
However, does this school look bad when trying to get a job?
Would I be crazy for switching from CAS to SCPS?
And is this typically a 3 year program instead of a 4?
Can someone please clarify the undergraduate SCPS Hotel and Tourism program for me!? Does a B.S. in Hotel and Tourism look way worse than a B.A. in economics (for the career path I want/would the SCPS be better for the career path I want?)

Thanks!!
