Hi, this is my third year in a CCC and I have a cumulative of 2.36 (terrible, I know) and I just applied to four CSU's (Chico, Sonoma, Northridge, and Fullerton) I currently live in San Francisco and my major is psychology. Does anyone know roughly what my chances are of getting into any of these (but Chico State is my top pick). Did any of you get accepted or rejected to these schools and was your gpa similar to mine? Any info helps, thanks!

I think you are a longshot at all 4 campuses. All CSUs accept ‘local’ applicant with minimum qualifications.

that table shows what’s ‘local’ for all 23 campuses. SF State is probably your local choice. Validate that and apply as a back-up. You will also notice several campuses including Monterrey and Northridge that list State of CA as local for transfers. Assuming you’ve completed their requirements, they will admit you with your GPA.

I’d apply to both while the window is still open.
Good luck.

I don’t want to apply to SF State because I really want to leave SF for college but thanks for the input!

I can understand that. Take a look at the list linked above again, you’ll see there are several campuses that list all CA CCs as ‘local’ how about Humboldt, Monterrey, Channel Islands or Northridge?

Sac may be another option though, you are probably close to the line with them for psychology.

SJSU posts this table every year. In it, they list the GPA required to transfer in by major last year.

Whats interesting in it, though psych is out of reach, social science is doable. Something to think about.

The good news is, there are several options open to you.

Good luck

I’ve applied to Northridge already and I think I’ll apply to SJSU and maybe Humboldt. Thanks a lot for the info!
