<p>So, today I found out that I was denied the Cal Grant and, when calling them to ask why I did not get the California Community College Transfer Entitlement Cal Grant the representative said that it was because I did not list a UC as my first choice on my FAFSA (I had listed my CCC because no where did it say that a UC had to be listed first to get that cal grant). I have already been accepted and SIR'd to a UC and when I asked him if I could appeal he said "unfortunately no" and suggested I ask the school about their grants. So very frustrating. Is anybody else in this situation?</p>
<p>I was denied Cal Grant as well. All three. I remember submitting my FAFSA with the three UC’s I applied to and not my current community college. But when I try to look at my FAFSA I can’t. I think since financial aid packages have already been determined, we’re no longer able to view them or change them. But I’d like to know why I was denied too. Also denied the Pell grant.</p>
<p>If you login to your Cal Grant and go under award detail, it’ll say why you were denied. I was denied because my family’s income was above the ceiling. Makes sense though.</p>
