Centennial Hall

Hey everyone! I was thinking about living in a single in Centennial Hall next year as a freshman. I was wondering if anyone else has lived there or if they are planning on living there next year as a freshman. Do you have a sense of community or does everyone keep to themselves? Do alot of freshman live in this hall? My other choice is a suite in Frontier Hall. Any help on this decision would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think both are great options, and you’ll be much more likely to get a room in Centennial than a suite in Frontier. I used to be a Community Advisor in Centennial, after having lived there for a semester my second-year, before I went abroad. I found that most of the freshmen that I worked with enjoyed living in Centennial and most of them made friends quickly in Centennial and in other buildings. I think that no matter where you get placed, its really about your attitude. I was placed in Comstock my freshman year - my 7th choice - and didn’t have a great time, because I didn’t give it a chance. I ended up moving to Pioneer during my second semester, and had a great time and made some great friends.

it won’t be easy to get a single as a freshman.
but if you have a bad experience with your room, talk to res hall director and switch room, you hvae a change to get a single.
