<p>Does the Air Force Academy give nice certificates to appointees like Navy and Army does?</p>
<p>My son is a member of the class of '09, and he has a very nice certificate that was mailed to him before he incprocessed. It was bound in leather, I think, and as I recall, it was emblazoned with a picture of a falcon....very nice.</p>
<p>Yes, I'm <em>lucky</em> enough to have TWO of those at home. I got mine via my ALO.</p>
<p>My ALO supposedly has "My Appointment", so I'm assuming it's something like a nice certificate because I already got my appointment in the mail.</p>

<p>Yeah, they're definitely something you'll want to hang on to...But I'm sure the diploma is even better. :) </p>
<p>By the way, Aurora, the gyrfalcon pictured on it, is not a nice bird. The falconers say she is pretty grumpy to say it nicely...I saw her try to bite a little kid! It was pretty funny actually...</p>
<p>My ALO's coming to our Senior Awards Night (presentation of scholarships, blah blah) to present mine to me. I'm so excited! :)</p>
<p>Yeah, that would be happening for me too, but since I'm in college, that can't really happen. So he's just gonna bring it over to my house and we're going to have a little party with some family and friends and stuff. Should be a good time.</p>
