Those 3 months were a huge struggle for me.

Schools:
The important part:
1) U Penn
2) Cornell
3) W&M
4) Wash&Lee
5) Tufts
6) Vanderbilt
7) NYU
8) George Washington
9) American

Honestly, thank you to anyone that can muster a reply to this. It is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
superhuman

The shameless Bump

My opinions -

1) U Penn - Slight reach
2) Cornell - Slight reach
3) W&M - Overqualified
4) Wash&Lee - OverQ
5) Tufts - OverQ
6) Vanderbilt - Good match
7) NYU - Good match
8) George Washington - OverQ
9) American - OverQ

I only say that 1 and 2 are slight reaches because, obviously, Ivies are always unpredictable. Of course, it’s always a good idea to try to raise SAT scores. If UPenn is your first choice, your most important things are your recommendation letters, essays in your application, your math SAT (should probably retake, no offense; the higher the better), and your math course load… Especially if you’re going for Wharton. I think you have a good chance at all of the schools, including Penn and Cornell. You are taking AB calc next year which is exactly what Penn looks for. In fact, that is right on their undergrad desires bullet page. Your FBLA is good, and of course it’s always good to go for a leadership position.

The Rotary Ambassador throws a wrench in the thing; I have no clue how to deal with that on chancing… Por un lado, it’s of course great that you’re doing that. De antemano, I’ve found that incoming undergrads over 18 have a lesser chance of acceptance… Of course that’s skewed by year-skippers.

Otherwise, I think you have a positive chance at all of these schools. Some here will say your GPA is not good enough, but rationally, it is very very good. Most of the people on this site are intellectual elitists and are competing with you, so of course they’ll say that :D

If you would, please chance me back honestly. I’d appreciate it greatly.

Like the person above, Ivies can be weird and unpredictable but your sat scores are in the mid-upper range so thats good. You are a good student, have good EC’s (I’m an eagle scout as well  but you seem to be a good match for most all those schools. Good Job!

Now, my goals are a little lower than yours but can you chance me back?

My best one day SAT is:
660 Math
570 Reading
660 Writing

=1230 Composite or 1890 total

I am on the Varsity wrestling team at my school, I have a 3.53 GPA at my school, I am in the top 25% of my class. I am an Eagle scout. I play two instruments. And I’m in National Honors Society. I am taking AP Physics, AP Calculus, and an online dual credit course this semester.
I applied on January 3, 2012

Also, I’ve got like 400-500 community service hours and i’ve worked at summer camps two summers

Thanks
