Chance at Princeton, UPenn Jerome Fisher, Ivies, etc.

<p>:) That’s okay, I probably would be guilty of the same thing.</p>

<p>To whoever said that your course load is like must be biased or have some sort of provincial view of education. Very few schools even offer Calc 3 to students and I know from experience that some schools wont even allow students to take APs before a certain year (I was prevented from taking any my sophomore year).
I think between your amazing SATs, great courseload, and decent ECs you have a great shot at most of those schools (just kick butt on the essays and teacher recs). If you can get those last two parts to be great then I think your only worry would be your ECs and even then they’re still decent so it’s not like it could even be a deciding factor. Only reason I could see you getting declined is if the school doesnt think you’re a good fit for what theyre looking for i.e. specific instruments/sports/other talent</p>

<p>Stanford - Reach
Princeton (EA probably) - EA will probably make this a low-Reach
Yale - Reach
UPenn Jerome Fisher M&T program (Wharton backup) Big Reach. I don’t think you have enough Business ECs for you to have a better chance than this.
Cornell - Match/Low-Reach
UMich - Definitely in
UChicago - Definitely In
Carnegie Mellon - High Match (I imagine this will be a safety)
NYU - High Match (Though I believe it is need sensitive, so if you’re asking for aid it might hamper your chances)
Berkeley - High Match</p>

<p>Nice stuff for this app  </p>

<p>Stanford - Reach
Princeton (EA probably) - Reach
Yale - Reach
UPenn Jerome Fisher M&T program (Wharton backup) - Like Harrovian said, this will be a tough one - High Reach
Cornell - Low Reach
UMich - Safety
UChicago - Low Reach
Carnegie Mellon - High Match
NYU - High Match
Berkeley - High Match</p>

<p>Good Luck!</p>

<p>Stanford: Reach
Princeton: Reach
Yale: Reach
Penn M&T: High Reach (it’s the most competitive dual degree program out there and I don’t you have the ECs for this)
Cornell: High Match
UMich: Match

CMU: Match
NYU: Match
Berkeley: High Match</p>

<p>Chance me back? [Chance</a> Me ED Penn, Chicago and More!](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1573209-chance-me-ed-penn-chicago-more-will-chance-back.html]Chance”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1573209-chance-me-ed-penn-chicago-more-will-chance-back.html)</p>

<p>Great jobon your SATs! Im so jealous :stuck_out_tongue:
I think, with that score, it should not be very difficult for you to get into any unversity which you apply to as long as your essays are good and so are your interviews.</p>

<p>Princeton: reach
UPenn: Reach
Ivies in general are hard to get in if you don’t have a hook. I think you’re very well rounded which means yoru stats won’t keep you out of any of those colleges but won’t probably be the deciding factor either.
Fairly good chances at the other mentioned colleges.</p>

<p>Stanford- reach
Princeton (EA probably)- reach
Yale- low reach
UPenn Jerome Fisher M&T program (Wharton backup)- low reach
Cornell- match
UMich- low match
UChicago- match
Carnegie Mellon- match

<p>Stanford- reach

Yale- reach
UPenn Jerome Fisher M&T program (Wharton backup)- low reach
Cornell- match
UMich- low match
UChicago- low reach
Carnegie Mellon- match
NYU- low match
Berkeley - match</p>

<p>Focus on your essays! I think that will be very important for you since your EC’s are a bit unconventional, although they are really great.

<p>As I’m sure you know, your scores and gpa are excellent.
Being a teen writer is good, but there don’t seem to be very many ec’s in general.

I can’t say anything about for sure getting in to such and such place, but you have a good shot at getting into a few of them!</p>

<p>First of all, awesome job on your SATs! You have some good leadership positions. I’d focus more on the start-up and writing for the Huffington Post, as they’re a bit of a refresher from the usual activities. Course load looks good and your GPA’s well within range for all these schools. That being said:</p>

<p>Stanford: Reach
Princeton (EA probably): Reach
Yale: Reach
UPenn Jerome Fisher M&T program (Wharton backup): Not familiar with Jerome Fisher but I know Wharton. I’d say Low Reach.

Congrats on the SAT’s  also make sure to really promote the fact that you are a published author. When I read this I became VERY interested in hearing about how you did this, so definitely exaggerate this to the schools.
Hate to say it but the top Ivies are all reaches just because there are so many qualified applicants applying.</p>

<p>Stanford: Accepted
Princeton (EA probably): Accepted
Yale: Rejected
UPenn Jerome Fisher M&T program (Wharton backup): Rejected from M&T, Waitlisted at Wharton
Cornell: Accepted
UMich: Accepted

<p>@Nihilus I hope everything turned out for you! And much like @IWillKil, I really want to be a huffington post teen blogger, but I have no idea how to. When you have time, could you please pm the information to me as well? Thank you! </p>
