Chance for fall 2010

I'm currently a Freshman at Ithaca College. I got a pretty good scholarship to go here, and was excited about it for a number of reasons: good school, good area, ability to take classes at Cornell every semester. Problem is, the school overenrolled by 500+ students for the freshman class. Things are cramped, and with admission rates surging all the way up to 75% A LOT of rather dim students got into the school. Needless to say, I'd like to go somewhere a little more academically rigorous.

My high school stats aren't amazing, but they aren't awful.

3.4 GPA
29 ACT
President of Photography Club
President of Intramural Basketball League
Mock Trial Captain
Tennis Team Captain

Something that sets me apart from other applicants is that I transfered from my traditional high school senior year and received my diploma from a distance learning high school online. I got a full time job while doing this schooling, and managed to finish a year's worth of schooling by February (I had a lot of reasons for the transfer that I included in my college essays and will include in my transfer essays, though I think are a bit personal for a forum). After graduating early, I did missionary work in Africa for a few weeks, then travelled throughout Europe by myself extensively. It was a life changing experience. It strengthened my faith, and changed my outlook on life.

My college stats are
3.7 GPA midterm
Philosophy Club
College Radio DJ assistant

What are my chances at schools like U of Chicago, Macalester, NYU, Notre Dame?
What are some other schools that I should consider looking into? I'm from the midwest, and wouldn't mind something closer to home!

Thanks SO MUCH in advance, I'm very happy there are sites like this where people take the time to give others in my situation help.

Does anyone know about those four schools with my grades…?

I’d say that U Chicago is a reach, but Notre Dame and NYU are feasible. I know a guy with a GPA below 3.5 who transferred to Notre Dame.
