Colleges (in order of interest) and what i belive to be my chances but am interested in your thoughts:
barnard-R
nyu-T/R
emory-R
brandeis-R
gwu-T
umiami-T/S
lehigh-T/R
michigan-T/R
wisconsin-madison-T/S
american-S
northeastern-S
tulane-T/S
elon-S
Richmond-t/R

An 1890 may prove to be detrimental to your admission chances… I realize that you say you’re shooting for a 2000, but without actually having it I’m going to chance you on the 1890 itself.

The schools I’m most familiar with:

nyu-T/R (More toward a reach)
gwu-T
michigan-R
american-S/T (more towards T though)
northeastern-T (they’re getting more and more competitive by year. your GPA is impressive, but by no means justifies northeastern as a safety).

Your GPA is excellent. But depending on your school’s rigor, it still may not be enough to compensate for the SAT score. While good, the score for some of these colleges is not on par with their average applicants.

as of now,
u DEF need to raise ur sat scores above 2000… if you don’t it might be a bit harder to get into all of those schools.
barnard-very high reach
nyu-low reach
emory-high reach
brandeis-high reach
gwu-target
umiami- target
lehigh-low reach
michigan-high reach
wisconsin-madison-no iea
american- safety
northeastern target
tulane-
elon-
Richmond-reach

Really your sat is your only less favorable section of your application. Your ec’s are amazing and should assist you greatly especially at schools with a more holistic review (some schools usually of a lowercaliber will focus more on numbers to look better). Not many high school students can say they’ve been published and your interest in English as well as your athletic endeavors will give you a good “well-lopsided” application that will stand out. I don’t know if you’ll be able to schedule wise or financially but I’d say if you applied early at Barnard which you listed as your first choice you’d have a decent chance because one of their main qualms in admission is the worry that most of their applicants would prefer Columbia so your genuine interest would help. If schools like that are your goal though just study really hard for the sat! You will improve if you do a good program like Princeton review daily. You know that though! Your gpa especially at a good school alone is good enough for any of your schools as is your ecs.Emory Brandeis nyu and lehigh and michigan are very competitive but some weight some application factors such as gpa over sat, while some want to improve their sat statistics. Mcgill is more numeroc based for international but i think your numbers are still good enough and its an incredible institution. I’d do some research because you have a good list of schools and a good variety. Have you considered taking the act? Either way your sat2 scores reflect well so you have reason to believe you’ll improve.

I agree for the most part with your predictions as long as you bump up your SATs. The public schools, although their creds may not be that high, do not admit too many out of state students. I think that’s the only place (other than your high reaches) that you could snag. Luck!
**ps chance me back!:)

I think Barnard, NYU, Emory, Brandeis, Lehigh, Michigan, Tulane and Richmond are reaches. Elon is a safety. Targets are American, Miami and Northeastern (agree with Sean admissions wise). Not sure on Wisconsin and GWU. Best of luck!
