Hi, I'm a high school senior in Northern Virginia and I applied to American University. I just want to have an idea of my chances of getting accepted. I really want to go to American University since I feel that I fit in and I love the international scene it offers.
My stats:
GPA: 3.9 (W)
ACT: 27 superscored
SAT-did not send
I'm taking AP Physics C which is the hardest course in the school and I have a B, along with 4 other AP/IB courses.
I moved during my high school life so I did have to change schools. It really did hurt me academically (some of my grades transferred in lower) and socially because I went through a lot of family and financial problems. I lost my home two years ago and my brothers had both dropped out of college. My college essay revolved around my strive for a perfect life because I felt as if my life was far from perfect. Which is the reason why I'm writing it here.
I'm also Arab, if that helps in any other way.
Extracurricular activities:
--I did track junior year and senior year
--Vice President of Arabic Ethnic Club
--Secretary of French Culture Club
--active member of Key Club (volunteering stuff)
--active member of LASA (latin american Student association)
--interned at a doctors office part of my sophomore and junior year (from november to february)

I also Applied to George Washington University and George Mason. I got accepted to GMU :)
