<p>From what I’ve heard from freshman and from what I understand from my time working in the admissions office, (and this is not an official word) is that the essay can make or break your application. If your application is on the fence as to whether or not you will get in, a well written essay can totally help.</p>

<p>My grades are very similar to yours, I had average extra curriculars and a modest amount of community service hours. I was accepted to the school of Harpur and I think it was because my essay, I just wrote from my heart. Binghamton is where I want to go more than any other school and I think that transferred into my essay ha. If you really want to get in I’m sure you will… :)</p>
<p>I hope so! So far I’ve gotten in to Northeastern, and my parents are already giving me guilt about money lol so hopefully I can just get into Bing and everyone will be happy! I really liked my essay, it was about doing volunteer work in New Orleans and befriending a little girl down there. I hope they like it too.</p>
