Chance me for UC's, NW, BC, USC

Currently a rising Junior looking into these schools:
UCLA
UCSD
UCB
USC
Northwestern
Boston College
ASU-Barrett Honors College (should be easy)

I go to a fairly competitive traditional school in Arizona; we've had a few in each graduating class go to Ivies and other competitive schools. Pretty big (about 2700 kids), and in a pretty well-off area.

Stats:
Rank-17/695 (estimate, because our school doesn't rank, but this is from my percentile..and I am tied with a few other kids)
Overall GPA-4.0UW/4.667W
PSAT-185 (sophomore year, and I'm pretty ****ed about it)
SAT-
ACT-
Ethnicity-White
Gender-Male

Freshmen Year:
Honors English-A/A
Honors Physics-A/A
Honors Geometry-A/A
Graphic Design-A/A
Spanish I-A/A (I came from out of district, and my credits wouldn't transfer from middle school, so I had to retake a class I'd already passed)
PE/Life Concepts (required)-A/A

Sophomore Year:
Honors English-A/A
Honors Biology-A/A
Honors Algebra II-A/A
Graphic Design II-A/A
Honors Spanish II-A/A
AP Euro-A/A (3 on test)

Junior Year:
AP English Language-
Honors Chemistry-
Honors Pre-Calc-
AP Physics-
Honors Spanish III-
AP US History-

Senior Year (Predicted):
AP English Comp-
AP Chemistry-
AP Calculus AB (might take BC instead, depending on how this year goes)-
AP Bio or Psych-
Honors Spanish IV (might take AP test)-
AP Macroeconomics-
AP American Government-

*school doesn't give A+/-'s, it's just a letter grade.

EC's:
-Published poet
-AIMS Scholarship (in-state tests that you must exceed on by your Junior year to receive a scholarship to three main in-state Universites. I exceeded on all three my first try)
-Travel Ice Hockey for about 8 years
-Varsity Hockey all four years of high school
-Varsity assistant captain Sophomore and Junior years-expected to be Captain next year.
-Hockey Club VP Sophomore year, President Junior/Senior years.
-Crazies E-board all 4 years (it's a student-lead club which is basically the student sections at the sporting events. we set up fundraisers, tailgates, make shirts, etc.)
-Freshmen Mentors (pretty self-explanatory; we have a group of freshmen that we help with different situations and have lesson plans that we go through on all of the 1/2 days with them-starts Junior year)
-Mentor Big Boss Junior/Senior year (the "leader" of the Mentors-we lead each class of Mentors, and there are about 20 out of the estimated 100 Mentors, with only 5 being Juniors)
-National Honors Society-going to run for a executive board position next year
-Physics Phreaks-tutors the freshmen physics students (going to run for a executive board position next year)

**will add more to this later

ANY CRITICISM/SUGGESTIONS OF THINGS TO ADD IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks in advanced!

bump? 10char

mrzacharius, your standardized test scores for your ACT or SAT will probably be a better indicator. I would try for at least a 32 on the ACT as your goal for a school like Northwestern or Boston College; the UC system is also very good, so I would likewise aim high. You are still a rising junior, so you have ample opportunity to take the ACT or SAT to get a feel of it (if you have the resources to do so). Strengths for your academic profile include: Honors Physics as a ninth grader, while keeping the Honors in humanities (Honors English), and strong grades in both subjects. If you can take Calc BC your senior year, I would pursue that over AB. BC covers more material and you can actually receive credit for both depending on your AP score. Keep the all A’s and don’t let any class (AP or non) bring your GPA down! Your strongest ECs are your Physics Phreaks (because you took honors physics as a freshman, and you will later pursue AP Physics, it gives the impression you are passionate about this subject, just try to do well on the AP exam). The Crazies E-board is unique and adds color to your application. Just try to do well on your standardized tests (don’t worry too much about the euro score, if you were worried), and I’d say you have a great chance of getting into those schools.

thanks for the reply. i’m taking the SAT in early 2012 (Jan or Feb I think is the date). I wasn’t too worried about my Euro score, seeing as I did not study at all for it, and I hated that class with a passion. Also, I was busy with travel hockey (8 out-of-state tournaments), so I wasn’t really focused on that test, but this year I’ve taken an easier road with hockey and I’m more on the academic track.
