Both are reaches

Thank you for the reply!

Do you think I would have a realistic shot of acceptance with these stats though?

Honestly you probably have a 2-3% chance at either school (at best, I’m honestly not sure if you have enough ECs to be considered in their qualified pool), and retaking the SAT won’t help you since you already have an ACT of 35. There’s virtually no marginal benefit to getting a higher SAT score. Your time would be better spent doing something else.

Its a stretch but if you don’t apply you will never know. Try some schools just a level below. There still very good.
Chance me back please?

@Petersuu: Wouldn’t I need to send my SAT score to Yale if I send any subject tests? On their website, it says that if I send any scores from the College Board, I would need to send everything.

@sd9754: Thanks for the reply! I chanced you back.

High reaches. Some other ivies might be low reaches/reaches, though…

They’re all reaches. However, with your ACT, why not just submit that and not submit the SAT at all?
Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1569475-uchicago-ea-harvard-columbia-carleton-chances.html

If I submit my subject tests, Yale requires that I send all my SAT scores too. I figure it’d be better to send more than to send less so that they get a better picture of me as a student.

Reaches, definitely go for it. You could potentially be selected since there’s really no telling who will make it into those schools.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply!

Go for it!
The worst thing that could happen is them saying no, which is not significant given you are applying to other schools!

Sorry if it seemed like I was implying that being Hispanic would get me in; I just felt that it would be a good thing to include in the original post because I’ve seen it used a lot in other “Chance Me”. I’m definitely not banking on my ethnicity getting me in whatsoever.

Thank you for the reply.
