The Colleges: If I could get chances on as many as possible, that would be swell =D

First Choice/ED: Dartmouth (My grandfather and my great uncle both attended. I'm hoping that since I will be applying from a less competitive area of Ohio and because I have legacy, my chances may increase)

Other Ivy: Brown

Universities: Georgetown (Walsh School of Foreign Service), Johns Hopkins, Oxford

Liberal Arts: Amherst, Bowdoin, Wesleyan, Middlebury, Carleton, Hamilton,

Your scores are great, your grades are great, your ECs are great.

You’ve got a good chance at the schools you’ve listed.

However, you need to add some safeties you’d be happy at, since all of the schools you listed are reaches for everyone. Consider Colgate, Trinity (CT), Bates, Colby, others.

Dartmouth- low reach/high match
Brown- low reach/high match
GTown- match
JHU- match
Oxford- not a chance
Amherst- high match
Bowdoin- match
Wesleyan- In/Match
Middlebury- In/Match
Carleton- In
Hamilton- In

Thanks to both! Yeah, I also am definitely looking at Colgate. Any more comments? =D

Colgate eh? Right near me!

Here’s my take:

Dartmouth- high match
Brown- low reach
GTown- match
JHU- match
Oxford- in England? high reach
Amherst- high match
Bowdoin- match
Wesleyan- low match
Middlebury- match
Carleton- low match
Hamilton- match
Colgate- low match

We do seem like kindred spirits don’t we? Except I don’t think I’m a good enough vocalist for all-state. I’ve never auditioned. Funny thing is, I totally forgot about this year’s National Latin Exam and didn’t take it. XP Oh, And my suburb isn’t particularly competitive. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.

Yeah, I’m more in the Westchester area, but I’m probably going to end up making the long haul out to the syracuse area for Colgate and Hamilton.

More thoughts anyone? The feedback is great.

Amherst is about on par with Dartmouth in terms of selectivity, but you’ll get an ED boost from Dartmouth.

Im not very familiar with the schools youre applying to, but your stats are really similar to mine, except your 35 ACT. Definitely that will give you a boost and your EC shows a wide range of success. So, I would guess that you will most likely getting into a few ivies. hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, I really liked Amherst as well. Yeah, I just back my ACT scores and was really excited so I thought I would make a chances thread. Thanks!

Anyone else? I’ll gladly chance you if you chance me
