GPA
Freshmen: 3.0
Sophomore: 3.0
Junior: First trimester 3.4 (Will get it up next two trimesters will probably finish with 3.5-3.6 junior year)
I've taken 4 AP classes and 1 honors and my senior year schedule will be all AP's and Honors

ACT: I've taken it once and got a 23 planning on retaking it my goal is 26-28

Extra Curricular's: Varsity Tennis (4 years and captain), Ping Pong Club, BBYO (Jewish Teen Leadership), Traveled to Spain and California for tennis, USTA tournament with over 30 trophies, over 50 hours of community service

Information about me: I have a couple of alumni in my family for MSU and Michigan, both of my parents did not go to college, I live in Michigan, and I'm an all white, jewish male.

(If you think there is no way I will get into any of those schools which other ones do you suggest)

Will you be a recruited athlete? That would drastically improve your chances.

I do not know if I will be a recruited athlete. What if I am not, how are my Michigan State chances???

I also have many community hours at my temple, building sukkahs every year, and summer in the city (camp for kids in the inner city that i volunteer at). I have also received MVP twice on the team, coaches award, sportsmanship awards, and a conference all team award on the tennis team.

Michigan state is a top 40 school to get in you need get an act around at least a 29, your gpa should around a 3.6-3.7 for best chances, being instate should help you, your sports are Stellar though, if plan to be recruited or want to be recruited then that should boost your chances

For MSU from in state, ACT around 25 should be enough (mid 50 is 23-28). For UMich, you do need 29+ with uwGPA above 3.7.

Forget about Umich and Wisconsin. What about MSU and Indiana how do you think my chances are for those two???

MSU is still a high match to low reach unless you bring up your ACT a little bit.
