Hi everyone,

I'll be applying for UCLA transfer in Fall of 2010, so I would really appreciate if you guys could speculate on my chances for getting in!

Major: Japanese

IGETC: will be certified by Winter or Spring 2010

Should have anywhere from 62 to 70 units by Spring of 2010 (depending on if I take any 'fun' classes my last semester of community college)

GPA: 4.0

I'll be taking Art 102 (Art History), Sociology 1, and a non-transferable Intermediate Algebra B course in the Fall. In either the Winter or the Spring of 2010, I'll take my sophomore math course (Statistics).

Finished all major prerequisites (Japanese 1 through 4, including a Japanese Civilization course)

Extracurricular Activities - I worked in a doctor's office part-time since 2006 until about a month ago. Also, starting in September, I will be volunteering at the Japanese American National Museum.

Still working on my personal statement.

19 years old at the time of application.

Overall W's - None

Other stats:

First generation college student

Will need financial aid

Planning on applying to scholarships

I've been at CC since Fall 2005, but from Fall of 2005 until Spring of 2008, I was a high school student taking college courses concurrently while being enrolled in high school. Most of the courses I took during this time period were Japanese courses. I graduated high school at the end of the Spring 2008 semester, so I've officially been a community college student starting in Fall of 2008.

Any feedback is much appreciated!
