Becca- All my stuff was received by them on December 12

ok thanks… thats good to know… i guess i still have a bit of a wait to hear- my stuff was received on Jan. 6th.

If only class rank wasn’t considered…

Doh! ANOTHER envelope from the Admissions & Financial Aid office today that had nothing to do with the Chancellor’s Scholarship. This is getting ridiculous.

Well, just so you know, Mantori: if your son happens to go to Pitt next year, you still get a lot of mail addressed to your child at home. It’s great–I have a letter sitting here now and have no idea what it is.

Yup, they send mail to the home address – we received a few this month. One was a reminder of the housing deposit deadline (2/12) another was the honor’s convocation. We open the mail to see what it is and then email him about it – if he wants the stuff forwarded to him or not.

Oh, great. We get tons of mail from Alabama, too, but it’s usually postcards, not letters, so it’s easy to tell whether it’s important.

I, too, am getting a lot of mail from Pitt, but I’m getting a whole heck of a lot more from UMichigan.

Has anyone heard either way lately? Nothing here so far.

We have been waiting since December 13th. No reply yet.

Mailed the application on December 23rd. No reply yet.

Man some of you are still waiting from December?! Ugh! I sent my Jan. 4th and im very tired of waiting…
For those of you that sent out in December, do you think that a longer wait is better? Somewhere along the lines of holding on to you application/waiting to see what else comes in before making a decision?

That is what I think, but maybe I’m just trying to find a reason not to be so annoyed by the delay.

No news is good news. Some people have been told that they are not getting an interview. See earlier posts.

We sent ours early Deember and got the thanks but we don;t want to see you letter about a month later.

Hey everyone!
This may seem like a really dumb question buttt
My postmark deadline was around the end of January, and I thought mailed in everything I needed to.
But I never received any sort of confirmation that they received all my materials besides my own USPS confirmation for my application envelope (which was separate from transcript and teacher reccs).
And I was reading around and read that people received emails notifying them that their application was complete?
Does the fact that it’s been a few weeks and I haven’t received this email mean I’m missing materials? :(

I appreciate any help, thank you!

hi plumblossom-
my guess given that you sent out your application separate from your transcript and teacher rec.s that not all of the parts have been received yet- or at least they haven’t been joined together?
My app was postmarked Jan 4th, the recieved it (according to USPS) on the 6th and i got the confirmation email on the 8th.
If your worried maybe check in with the teachers you asked to write for you and make sure that they sent it out etc. or even just call Pitt and find out if your stuff just got lost in the shuffle… welcome to the waiting game :)

Thanks Becca! I’ve given Pitt a call and was told I’d get a call back once they checked their database of materials and see if anything was lost. Hopefully everything will work out alright since it’s been a month already since my deadline, ahhh! Haha I’ll have “fun” waiting with you all. Good luck everyone!

Has anyone heard from the chancellor scholarship office regarding interviews? Got an e-mail stating the app was complet on the 27th of January! How long do they take? Anyone has answers, please reply!

Looks like someone didn’t bother reading any of the thread before posting.
