Hello everyone.

I sent in my application via the Golden Gopher Application on October 16th. Right now the application tracker is telling me that they are carefully reviewing my application. I applied to CBS looking for a major in Microbiology/Pre-med. The High School that I go to has no class rank and is considered to be academically rigorous (Hinsdale Central High School).

Here are my stats:
-4.89/6.0 Weighted GPA (6.0 GPA is for A's in Honors/AP level courses)
-31 ACT with 10 on the writing
-Youth & Government Junior and Senior years
-Biology Club Senior year
-Swim Team Junior and Senior year
-Latin Club Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year
-Internship for 2 summers with a consulting company working in their IT department
-Volunteering at local hospital
-GPA shows improvement, 4.5 GPA Freshman year, 5.0 Sophomore, 5.4 Junior
-Only took two honors level courses Junior year (Chemistry Honors and Algebra 2/Trig Honors), taking many more senior year (AP Biology, AP Psychology, Pre-Calculus Honors, Physics Honors)
-3 years of Foreign Language (Latin)
-Biology award from school as well as numerous Latin awards
-Been playing the Native American Flute for around 6 years now
-Can build computers (I've built around 8 or 9)

I also had some difficult things happen to me throughout highschool which I'm assuming they'll take into account when they look at my application (family home foreclosed on, parents divorce, death of father, death of grandfather).

I'm also curious if I would get into the Honors program.

Thanks for taking the time to read that!

I'm also wondering what the Microbiology/Pre-med teachers are like and what students think of them/the classes.

Thank you so much! :)
