Chances at UMD-CP?

Ok, so UMD @ College Park is one of, if not my top school so I'm really curious to see what you guys think, or may know, my chances of acceptance are.

I've only taken the ACT + Writing once so far and my composite score was 26 (my math brought it down), but I'm planning on taking it again next month. My GPA fluctuates between 3.4 and 3.5, and I'm doing PSEO this year taking Intro to Business, Ancient and Medieval World History, Computer Concepts and Applications, First Year Experience, and Intercultural Communications first semester at the college and then my two English classes: College Writing and Rhetoric at the high school.

Based on just these details and the fact that I'd be OOS (from Minnesota), do you think I stand a decent chance of acceptance? I'm not entirely sure of my major yet, but my top two choices for UMD are Government and Politics, and Criminal Justice.

Thanks!

Bump. Need help guys! Thanks!

Please help!

UMD: Reach

What’s your safety?

I’m also looking at Univ. of Minnesota–Duluth, Belmont, UND, UNL, and SHSU.

I’m in state and when I look at UMD-CP on my naviance account (I see a graph of acceptances with GPA on one axis and SAT/ACT on the other), and I go to 3.4 GPA and 26 ACT, I don’t see many acceptances…maybe one or two around the area. If you get your ACT to a 29+ (and of course, the higher, the better your chances) then almost every person with your GPA was accepted. Mind you this is still in state. I don’t know how big of a difference is, but all I can say is, people with your GPA have been accepted so all is not lost, but you should get as high an ACT score as possible to get in. DO that, and you have a match. Otherwise, it’s a far reach. UMD is pretty predictable when it comes to GPA and SAT/ACT scores for acceptance. Mind you, you probably won’t make it into the honors college if you were hoping for that.
