I am currently a Junior in High School. I have 4 Bs, and all of them are from freshman year. Sophomore and Junior Year I have been a straight A student.
One B+ I got in freshman year was in English 9 2nd semester. I had an A- 1st semester, so will it work against me for ivy league admissions? Another B+ was in honors biology 1st semester but I followed that up with an A second semester. The last two Bs were in both semesters of AP World History.
I have taken a total of 9 APs so far and have gotten As in all of them except Ap World History. I am also a national guitar champion.
What are my chances for Harvard, Stanford, UPENN, Brown and Cornell? -Which one of these will be the easiest for me to get into?
9 APs and weighted is 4.1? Are you sure your math is right? If you have 2300 SAT score or over I’d say you have a chance depending on the significance of your math awards and other ECs. Like, what do you mean by national guitar champion? How big was the competition? How selective is the math contest? You might need to show a little more participation in school activities.
@reelmathematician well like I said it really depends on the gravity of the aforementioned ECs including your school activities (such as leadership position). Seems like the only big thing to me. Even with a fantastic essays and recommendations I don’t see a reason for them to accept you if you have a low SAT score because those are given and it seems like you either haven’t taken it or have a low score. If you have higher than 2200 and national guitar champion is actually worth its title I think it’s worth applying
