Chances for Ivies? Will chance back!

Haha, thanks guys. I’ll chance anyone back, least I could do.

Also, just trying to remove my reprehension regarding my SAT score by taking it one last time. I’m hoping for a 800M (I know I will get it), 800W (need to get that darn 12 on the essay), and 750CR (gonna be darn tough).

Hopefully, a 2350 will seal the deal. If I get it, I may even apply to Harvard, Stanford, Yale and Princeton. :D

By my reply, I’m sure you’ve already figured out that i think you have a fantastic chance! Although they’re tough on Indians, your awards are GREAT. With a higher SAT score, though, you’ll feel much safer. Hope your essays are as good as you say too!

Chance me too!

I heard Wharton, specifically, is harder to get into than, say, Harvard or Yale. Is this true?

Particle accelerator? are you joking?

You know there are things like homemade particle accelerators. I made mine with a budget of 250 USD. Research Cockroft Walton linear particle accelerator, the first particle accelerator made; it was actually not a billion dollar piece of machinery.

I guess I could appreciate some more chances! :D

I would not put MENSA on your app. For MENSA you only need an IQ score of 137. MENSA is the top 2% of the general population which would mean most people attending schools you wish to apply to already fall into that category. I mean you can put it on there, but it isn’t necessary.

Oh. I guess I could get into another, not so well known, society which puts me in the 99.9th percentile. I guess, would it do any harm, any good, or make no difference on my application?

I don’t think either would necessarily do any harm or good. All it does is validate your GPA/SAT scores a bit. I see it as a bit irrelevant since college admissions is not based on IQ.

Alright, thanks a lot mate! Would anyone give me percentage chances, I’m not too good with these target and reach things. :)

Bump!!! :D

You have a fantastic profile. Some of your activities really stand out.
I think the ivies are more strict on the SAT part of it but other factors would compromise for that.
But you have a great shot at them anyways. Some of your colleges on the list would have a lot of extremely good applicants so you would have to compete against them.

Thanks mate. Do you reckon I should apply to HYPS?

Bumping!!!

Bump!!!

Top ten percent for the AMC is not that hard for those people making it into to MIT and places like that -_-;;;

I actually got a 96 this year but wasn’t able to take AIME cause my school messed up the schedule -_-;;;

Well good luck! I think you should have a chance!

I am not applying to MIT for engineering though, I am applying to MIT Sloan for Business.

Sorry didn’t see that haha but I think you have a chance at all the schools! good luck!

Chance me now! :D

Whats a revision club ? :)
