Chances for State AP Scholar

I have taken 16 exams, with an average of 4.7 in OH.

However, a kid in my own school took 17. My school had both state scholars in OH 4 years ago, but I'm not even sure my friend will get it this year. It has become ridiculously competetive.

any1 from cali in the c/o 2008, plz post the amount of ap tests you took/are going to take so that I can decide whether I wand to waste money to attempt state. Thanks!

24 or 25 are planned, but whether I'll be able to pull it off and whether we'll be able to afford it will determine if that'll actually happen.

Most of them I'll be taking next year, because I'm also trying for the Siemens AP Scholar award, which'll mean I have to self-study all the science/maths in the next year.

And I'll appreciate it if no one tells me I'm insane, because I know. But better to reach high and not make it than reach low and regret it, eh? :)

Do what you want...but just trying to get one award shouldn't really direct your highschool education.

Also, this is CC, where craziness and paranoia lives.

I promise it's not directing my high school education. I have way more free time than I know what to do with, and this is after non-school things that I enjoy doing. Why do you think I'm even on these forums? :P

I have done all 32 AP exams and received 5s on all of them. I also have never left my room during the summer and have no friends.

shrug Think what you like, but they asked.

really ryan? I want to take 10 - 14 more APs. I'm paying the full 82 for each one of them.

I am a male in Texas and I have twenty 5s and one 3. I'll post if I get the state scholar award.

wanderer,
you're joking right?

Of course he was. In fact, if I'm not being too egotistical here, I'm pretty sure he was mocking me. :P
