That's iffy.. since I've seen some people claim on this forum to have like 20 5s... I'm sure there's at least 1 or 2 of the thousands in each state to have that, especially now that the number of testtakers and tests taken increase exponentially each year..

um, what are you talking about? schools in the triangle have kids who take a crapload of APs, so dont go calling my state "not very competitive."

i am in the triangle at its most competitive school (or 2nd, not sure) and i have the most AP scores for now..
other states like MA and NJ have ppl taking far more exams..

I definately dont have a chance here in TX.. i already know that for a fact since my friend took like 11 exams and got 5s on them all, and this year he took four more.... making that 15, which is the same number I have but far more 5's than I have

So i can safely assume that some other texan has like 25 5s or something

You only have 3 5s and you have a 2 and 4 3s. That alone is less than an average of 4, so I think you have 0% chance of AP state scholar, regardless of how competetive you think your state is.

"AP State Scholar
Granted to the one male and one female student in each U.S. state and the District of Columbia with grades of 3 or higher on the greatest number of AP Exams and then the highest average grade (at least 3.5) on all AP Exams taken. "

From my understanding, you must make a 3 on all of the exams taken to be elibigle, although I could be wrong on this. If this is the case, your AP English 2 would disqualify you.

This isnt true. You may get a 2 on an AP exam but it just doesnt count towards your AP scholar count. Since he has 17 exams, but made a 2 on one of them, his official count is 16 and since his average is above a 3.5 hes still in the running. However, like I previously posted, I think there is a kid on here from NC that has more than you and even if he has 16, he has a higher average because I believe he had almost all 5's.

Why does it matter if we are not paying for it? I took 14 exams for the price of 2. But you are right, if I had to pay for every exam there would be no way I would have taken this many.
