Chances of getting in as a transfer student for fall 2013?

I graduated high school with a 3.5 GPA with honors, I did volunteer work and joined various clubs and received some academic awards, I also took many honor classes and one AP class. For the first semester of college, I got a 3.0 GPA and was taking 17 credits. I am currently taking 17 credits this semester as well. I'm currently enrolled in University of Arizona as an out-of-state student.

The high school stats seem to be on par with most high school prospects. It seems JMU is very picky with freshmen transfer students a 3.0 is probably a maybe. As you only have 17 credits you will have to send SAT or ACT scores so these might be a deciding factor.

That being said they seem to always wait list or decline more than up to par students while I have heard of lesser students getting in. I would say you have a chance it really depends on major and classes you are in and were in at UA. I would not be surprised to see you wait-listed, accepted, or declined.

I just made a transfer 2013 thread. I’m hoping many will join and make the wait better.
I wouldn’t mind a chance also <a href=“JMU Fall 2013 Transfer - James Madison University - College Confidential Forums”>JMU Fall 2013 Transfer - James Madison University - College Confidential Forums;
