Chances of getting in off the the waitlist?

I just got waitlisted by OSU last week and it is killing me inside to find out whether I will be accepted or not. I NEED to be accepted because not only is Ohio State my dream school, but I also was awarded a Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship to attend there. This is a life changing event because the scholarship covers full tuition and housing and my family is in serious financial struggles and has been since I was in the 8th grade.

Here is the outline of my application:

GPA: 3.95 weighted, not sure unweighted but probably around a 3.65 or 3.7
ACT: 30
Preferred area of study: Engineering
Clubs: Campus ministry and core team member, student council for two years, interact club, teen institute club, junior state of america, intramural basketball captain
Sports: Golf for 4 years including 3 years of varsity and captain senior year, jv hockey and tennis senior year
Other extracurriculars: Reader and eucharistic minister at my parish every weekend, went on a Catholic Heart service trip
Honors: I was named by my school a “Knight of Honor.” This honor is bestowed upon 6-8 seniors each year that best demonstrate what my school stands for and each Knight of Honor must be balanced in the 4 pillars of academics, athletics, social, and spirituality. There was an article in the Toledo Blade about it so its obviously a big deal. Was also first honors junior year and second semester sophomore year. Was second honors freshman year and first semester sophomore year.
Work: I have caddied the past 4 summers at the Inverness Club and will continue to do so every summer. I also used to bus tables at the Inverness Club but left because of the lack of hours available to work. I now currently work as a document scanner for a home healthcare company.

ALSO:
Like I mentioned before I was awarded the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship. This is a nationally recognized scholarship and is a huge honor. If you are not familiar with it please go to wgaesf.org and spend a few moments researching it.

With these accolades and my scholarship its hard for my to understand why I got waitlisted and has now made the next month of my life completely stressful as I wait to hear back from OSU by the beginning of June which is the same time as graduation and my grad party. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Did you apply late?

I originally intended to apply early action and had everything sent in except my official ACT score. When I sent my scores to all my other colleges I forgot to send it to OSU too so I didn’t notice that until the beginning of December. So I think it was considered late early action and was then turned into regular decision.

I’m sure it will work out for you. Your stats are great, but engineering is just a difficult major to get into.
