Chances of getting into Brown! :) Please!

Thanks ! :)

But I've applied ED already, so I can't submit any more SAT scores :S

oh that's right...well, the rest of your stats are good, so why don't you cross all the fingers you've got and wait for december. :P

Haha yeah :D

Any other opinions! Thanks for the comments....

Being African American is in your favor. Your SATs are somewhat low for their standards, so retake them if possible (but don't fret about it if it's too late). Your international experience could make for a great essay. I'd say you're a very strong applicant. By the way, I'm planning on premed also. :)

To Egypt for Track? EMAC perhaps? :)

Haha Yup! :) Were you there too?

Dumdumdummm. Bump :)

your SATs are a little low, you should work on having at least a 2100. you have a diverse background, which helps. work hard on your essays!! i would say it is a high match/low reach. good luck!

Thanksss ! Any other opinons? :)

Like others have been saying, your SAT's are a little on the low side. But that definitely doesnt mean a no!

If I were an admission rep, I would really like your application, you obviously have a lot of experiences under your belt...African American helps too.

I'd say low reach.

Chance me back?

Its not likely that you'll be rejected, but I'm not sure how competetive PLME is. I'm sure if you don't get in ED, then you'll 99.9% be accepted RD. If you're feeling weird, retake teh SAT for a higher score. Other than that, sit back and wait. I'm not sure how being an international student will affect your app though. Any thoughts on that?

BUMPedyyyyy

I'm hoping that being an international student will help, cause of the "cultural diversity" that I could bring... Luckily since I still have an American passport, I wont be at a disadvantage in terms of fin aid...

Oh, also when I had my interview, she said that sometimes the SATs are looked at differently for international students because admissions officers know that in the US kids start preparing/getting used to standardized tests wayy earlier than in other countries...

Are you also in an international HS, desiking?

Buuuump bummppp

Sorry, but the rest of these people have no idea how competitive Brown is

You have less than a 45% chance at acceptance to the regular program--and less than a 20% chance of acceptance to PLME.

Check out the SATs and GPAs of those accepted at Brown and you'll see why I say this. Also, be aware that Brown has more URMs that apply (and that are accepted) than any other Ivy league school--which is why you need to especially be competitive in the applicant pool--and especially in the international pool if that applied to you (which it appears it doesn't).

P.S. Brown was my first choice school and I was accepted, but could not attend for financial reasons--so I do know what it takes to get in.

I do wish you well, however, and hope that my chances are not accurate in your case.

Thanks Calcruzer... Yeah, you're definitely right, Brown IS a crazy competitive school...
Anyways luckily they will look at my scores and grades in relation to MY situation... Because for example, earning an A in my school is ALOT harder than it is in an American public school, and they know that... Also, living in the middle east limits alot of the opportunities for things like jobs (you can't work under 18 like you can in the US) or awards, so it's really hard to compare applicants I guess.
But I know it's a big reach...Thanks for your opinion :)

Any other opinions or adviceee? :)

Buummp!! You guys are being really helpful, thanks :)

Amazing background, though scores are abit low along with your GPA
however ur interest in pre-med is clear and if you have shown your desire to attend Brown through whatever it seems to me you have a good chance of being admitted.
Though don't be 100% sure since Brown is intense and some applicants are just as enthusiastic about Brown as you.

yeahh, I hope you get in and I hope I see you there!
