I'm a rising senior in high school and I highly doubt that I am going to get into any prestigous school. I was wondering if I go to a state university that isn't great, and graduate with a 4.0, what are my chances of getting into a really good med school?

Could I get into Harvard Med, Johns Hopkins Med, or Dartmouth Med?

What can I do to raise my chances of getting into those schools?

It's useless to give chances for medical school without at least a college GPA and an MCAT score.

In general, you can go to any accredited four-year institution in the United States for your undergraduate education and still have a good shot at any MD or DO school.

Why are you so determined to get into Harvard, JHU, or Dartmouth for medical school?

Dartmouth? Interesting. Anyway, even granting your hypothetical college GPA, you'd still need an MCAT score, extracurriculars list, essays, interview skills, experiences, and volunteer work. The GPA is a small component of getting into medical school -- one that can sink you, of course, but nonetheless a small one.
