Chances of getting into UT Austin for Architectural Engineering???

So I'm only a junior in high school but i really don't want any surprises next year when i start applying. My dream school is UT Austin for architectural engineering. My second choice is UC at Boulder for the same thing. There aren't a lot of schools for architectural engineering and they're the best that i know of..

So i guess this is what my resume would look like?
GPA (so far): around 2.5 but junior year just started so i have all this year and next to raise it.
Honors Trigonometry
Band (since 5th grade. Clarinet, trumpet)
Softball
Volleyball
Swim team
Mock Trial
Tutoring children in math

My grades are averagely B's and C's. I know my GPA is kinda low. But up until the middle of my sophomore I never thought i had a chance of college based off the lifestyle and environment i grew up in, so school used to be just a way to kill 7 hours. I know colleges wont give a crap about my sob story so I'm busting my ass to improve now.
So what are my chances of getting in? I'm an out of state resident. And what would i have to score on the SAT to improve my chances? And any possible scholarship chances?
And if you can tell me, what do i need to do that will help me? Anything will help!
Thanks!

TBH your chances right now are not very good. What is your rank? If your in top 8% then that is auto in state. You indicated that you are not but having a high rank does help. I say get your CR + M sat to be 1450-1500 to offset gpa and you may have a chance. good luck!

Your grades aren’t looking too hot for UT Austin, however if you work hard junior year you could give yourself a good shot. Go for an above-average SAT score, somewhere above 1800 will get you good chances or try the ACT. As an out of state resident UT Austin can be tough to get in. If you’re interested in Architectural Engineering check out Cal Poly, University of Nebraska, Kansas State, and University of Miami in Florida. They have fantastic programs, and may not be as much of a stretch as UT. You will really need to work hard to raise your GPA if you want to go after arch engineering schools, and make sure you take calculus your senior year. Take some of your school’s most challenging courses, and try to visit UT Austin if you haven’t

I just received my acceptance from architecture yesterday afternoon. I applied from NY, scores CR:600 M:660 writing: 680, ranked top 15%. I don’t know where you live, but penn state also has a architecture engineering and a pretty good landscape architecture program.
