Chances of not getting twice?

If I got wait listed to Exeter last year (applying for 9th), and my application is pretty much the same but a little higher SSAT scores and I thought my interview was better. In general, if you were to get wait listed applying for 9th, what are your chances applying for 10th.

Sorry the title should be “Chances of not getting in twice”

I would like to know this too. Last year I got wait listed at Deerfield. My SSAT scores went from 86 to 96, and last year they waved my interview but this year I did an on campus one.

yea and in the interview it seemed like they were proud of my interest in the school since I was applying again

I think you would get in this time.
But then again that’s just my opinion.

I just created a thread on this… Oh well. From replies to my thread I can infer that re-applying actually helps you, because you are familiar with the process. Also re-application shows dedication. If you have applied to DA before, chances are they have all your application materials from last time. At least this was the case with me. Good Luck

You have a 20% chance the first time and a 20% chance the next time. You have a 36% running chance. Statistically speaking, it is unlikely you will get in either time. Of course, there are more variables than the acceptance rate.

if you guys are re-applying are u sending in the exact same essays as last year, writing on the same subjects, or completely redoing them on new topics?

Tough question. I spoke with an admissions officer who said if I write about the same topic it shows a true conviction. Especially if I feel strongly about it, as I do.
