I'm currently a junior planning on applying to Clemson next fall. I live in North Carolina, so I would have to pay out of state tuition, but the only way that I can afford Clemson is if I get the OOS waiver. Do I have a chance?

-1390 math and reading SAT
-3.95ish unweighted GPA
-right around top 10 percent of class

Thanks!

I say you have a high chance of the OOS waiver. Your SAT may be a bit lower than what’s required. If this is the case, the adcoms won’t even consider your application for the OOS waiver. I had a 30 on my ACT, and I needed a 31 to be considered. If you don’t fit the formula perfectly, you’re out of luck. Go to the Clemson website to see what the range of scores they consider of the waiver.
