Chances?

My friend doesn't have an account and wants me to post her stats
What are her chances??!??! TOP CHOICE SCHOOL!

8.6 UW 3.8 W
1790 ACT but if superscored 1860

AP, Honors, and interest! Essays were great, needs the acceptance! OOS

What do you think?

I’m really confused about the GPAs. I’ve never heard of an 8.6 GPA… I’m guessing that the 8.6 is the weighted GPA and the 3.8 is unweighted. Also you can’t score a 1790 on the ACT- 36 is the maximum- I’m gonna assume you meant SAT.

Anyways, here is my assessment:

Pros: AP, Honors, Essays
Neutral: 3.8 GPA and 1790 SAT
Cons: OOS

Your friend’s stats just about fit the average applicant profile. Your friend’s APs, Honors and Essays can bring their chances up, but her OOS residency will bring it down slightly.

All in all, I’d say that she is just as likely to get into the UW as an average IS applicant, which is 58%

3.6 UW and 1790 SAT (UW does not superscore)? Lol…

The numbers as hitachiota pointed out are very average, so they don’t set you apart from other applicants. If the essay and ECs are strong though, UW is a match.

Based on stats, high match/low reach. and the GPA thing is somewhat confusing. Is it a 3.8 UW?

Oh my I’m so sorry

3.61 unweighted
3.81 weighted
1790 SAT

my mistake
