Chances

After a year, i feel like i need to go to a much harder school. I attend George Mason and would like to transfer to a more rigorous school. I was planning on transferring to:

Amherst
Georgetown (CAS)
U Chicago
UNC
Wake Forest

My stats are:

HS GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1300 (w/o writing) (i think somewhere around 1920 with writing section)

George Mason Honors Program
College GPA: 4.0 (rigorous class schedule)
Lots of Clubs, with leadership positions

Internship this summer with a Presidential Campaign
Internship in Fall Semester with Representative in US Congress

I know I have another semester of grades, but I doubt my GPA will dramatically change, if it changes at all. Anybody know what my chances are?

Bump, help?

Amherst is an extreme reach for anyone. They only took 11/200+ this past year and I can only imagine that it will stay the same or get worse.

I think you have decent chances at the other schools. A 3.5 isn't ultracompetitive, but it's enough to be in the running (people on here have gotten into great schools with a 3.5). Though you've probably read this time and time again--try and raise that GPA, SAT, and write good essays (esp for Uchicago).

the 3.5 GPA was high school. College was 4.0

sorry about that... a 4.0 is extremely competitive! though, i still maintain my stance on amherst. the other schools, I think you've got a great chance.
