Is it worth mentioning to schools that I was not able to take the most rigorous schedule possible due to scheduling conflicts? I go to two different schools. The first three classes I take are at a magnet school, so that really made it difficult for me to get in the clases I wanted at my 'home' high school. I had to delay taking a language for two years, and this year, I was left unable to take 2 AP classes.

Any input or feedback is appreciated. I have the opportunity to take AP Eng this year, but I would have to take some blowoff classes in its place (life leisure, anthropology, etc). Should I take really try to take AP Eng?

Hmmm.... The two different schools bit sounds familiar. ;) I did the same thing in high school in the area of going to two schools (one being a magnet school). Do you go to KAMSC? I know that it's not BCAMSC because the seniors are there in the afternoon (I went there).

I have a feeling that you'll get into Michigan (just don't slack off on the application). If you don't want to apply to State then don't do it, but I'd try to find another school that you'd consider a safety (just in case even though you'll most likely be getting an acceptance letter from Mich). Ask your counselor to metion the scheduling conflicts in the letter that he/she will write to the schools to which you are applying.

So you want to go to UM, eh?

All I had to read was "In-state, GPA 4.0, 99th percentile ACT"

Apply early on and there's no way you won't get accepted.

Dsmo, you are as good as in. Apply in late August, early September, be sure to fill the application properly and you are in!
