Hi. I've recently applied for a major chAnge.
I would really like to do BME. How likely is it that i can change my major.
I'm an OOS, 32 ACT, top 6%. currently in ChE.

For major changes before the semester starts they will solely look at your SAT/ACT scores. Unfortunately, I do not believe that a 32 ACT is good enough to make the cut but it varies from year to year. BME is a tight program so you will only get a spot if there is another person who leaves and you have the highest standardized score among the other applicants. Last summer the advisers said that only those with >1500 Math+CR SAT score even had a chance.
I believe that the ChE and BME tracks are lined up pretty well so you may still be in okay shape if you have to transfer later. I was told that the advisers will accept some other (not all) Introduction to _____ Engineering classes in place of the Intro BME class as well. Many BMEs transfer out after the first 2 semesters so there will most likely be room later on… but who knows you may get in!

If i don’t getto change my major and am planning on applying again after my fresh year, who can i talk to? And how do i get the person’s contact number?
