Major Change into Biomedical Engineering

Hi, guys! Currently, I am accepted to the biochemistry major of the University of Texas at Austin. However, my mind is change; I want to major biomedical engineering! Since I heard that BME is very competitive major, I am not very confident. Can y’all give me some advices on what can I do to increase my chance for the holistic review of internal transfer?

I did some random thought experiments:

  1. My SAT score (it is 2110; R: 620, M: 800, W: 690). Assuming I can improve my score, do y’all think taking SAT again at this point will give a positive effect?
  2. SAT II (subject tests)?
  3. TOEFL?
  4. AP tests?

@shaketoevsky‌ … for the most part none of that matters for internal transfer … all that matters is your GPA within internal transfer … and average BME internal transfer is a 3.8 , so get a 3.8 next year and you should be good to go
