And stop whining on here that cheating is your only way in life if you don't think you have enough time to do your work...And if you don't want to do your work, then what do you expect to do as an adult? Sit around in a garbage dump when you're evicted for not paying your bills? Take some initiative...

yeah, the insufferable whining is what bothers me. If anyone has a right to complain, it's the people who are actually doing the work and who deserve the grades they get.

Thank you mcz and helix, at least SOME people have some sense in this thread :D

glad I could be of service;)

Would you like it if someone cheated on you? Do your parents like it when the auto mechanic cheats on them? How would you like to have been an Enron shareholder? Those dishonest mechanics and executives ALWAYS have a rationalization.

There is something seriously wrong when being honest but earning a lower grade is considered the mark of a scumbag but cheating and getting away with it is considered OK.

well said. I guess constantly cheating on tests is no different than cheating out there in the "real world". Both adversely affect others, and both should have consequences.

I guess we know who the future mechanics and used car salesmen of America will be in this thread :)

cheaters SHOULD be shot! Just leaching off others and eventually society they deserve to die.

"Would you like it if someone cheated on you? Do your parents like it when the auto mechanic cheats on them? How would you like to have been an Enron shareholder? Those dishonest mechanics and executives ALWAYS have a rationalization."

Ok seriously could you think of any worse examples, those are in a whole different spectrum from cheating on school work. Someone cheating on their g/f and someone cheating on a test cant even be compared

I think it represents the whole scope of truth, terry. If you are dishonest in school you are dishonest in life...and girlfriends are a part of life.

Oh but lemme guess....you wouldn't lie to your /girlfriend/, right? That never happens...nahhh.

just the small lies that keep every relationship going

Screw everybody, I go to a magnet high school, with tons of nerds, everyone is in all honors curriculum, and most kids take AP's, I would say 90%, and some of these kids just might get along with the teacher better than others and they suck up.

My philosophy, cheat till your pants are on fire. I am just evening the playing field, last year in my freshmen year I pulled a 2.9/4.0 GPA, which sucked because I was one of the smartest kids in the school, but this year with some advanced methods of cheating I have a 3.5 ish so far.

My opinion, cheat, who cares about the other people who worked hard, life is a competition, and if you are clever enough to find great ways to cheat and get away with it, then go ahead.

This same philosophy was used by the MIT Blackjack team, and they to cheated to a certain extent and made millions, just don't forget, if you are clever enough to get away with it, then the world itself is yours for the taking.

i just like posting my unique opinion since, most people on CC are non-cheaters, but I would like to see them judge my opinion.

Best of luck.

^ You obviouly lack even a shred of ethics.

Just stating my opinion.

"I go to a magnet high school, with tons of nerds, everyone is in all honors curriculum, and most kids take AP's, I would say 90%, and some of these kids just might get along with the teacher better than others and they suck up."

~Your point? I went to TJHSST...with over a hundred Natl. Merit Semifinalists every year. THE BIGGEST nerd school in the country. Everyone takes APs. Cheating isn't terribly rampant. I believe you can do perfectly well without cheating. Did you give your 2.9 year your best effort? Maybe you were smarter than everyone else...but lazy geniuses do exist...I've got a bunch of brilliant friends who pull straight B's or worse. But maybe this isn't you.

Sure you can do better, life is all about "social darwinism", survival of the fittest in society. Maybe the cheaters are better at this than others. I guess there's just a sense of ethics that goes along with cheating to get through life. Also a sense of guilt.

But hey, if you can live with that, then congratulations, I hope you do well in life. I'd be very curious to see where you end up in a decade or so. And I'm not being sarcastic here. gets a hose and puts your pants out ;)

Yeah Helix, upholder of ethics and justice! gives you a high five :)

(Although you know he's just trying to get a rise outta all of us)

Most people that cheat don't have a single sense of guilt, and at harder schools, students cheat just to stay equal with others. To certain extent cheating at tough High School's is kind of acceptable because there are tons of kids at my school who get B's and even C's, but a regular town high school, they would have EASILY pulled straight A's. Its life and you guys need to get used to it.

Again, I point out the MIT Blackjack team, who card counted and made millions, just becuase they could get away with it, and card counting to a certain extent is cheating.

By the way im not that Big of a cheater, im just arguining because I find this topic very interesting and I would like this thread to keep going, and I do have ethics.*

^you cheat and you'd like to get into premed field (I assumed this from your name)? hmm... let's just hope there's a cheating for curing patients on a serious operation.

HAHA lmao....cheating on a history exam is one thing, but I have no trouble in the sciences, or anything medicine/science related..

thanks maverach, I do what I can;)

Pre-med, I do believe that you have some ethics, though constant cheating as a means of getting by either shows profound laziness or profound lack of respect for honesty and for other people's hard work.

I guess my real question to you is, if you need to cheat to stay afloat at your magnet school, then why exactly are you there? If the only way for you to achieve the grades you want and to compete with your peers is by copying other people's work, then perhaps this isn't the school you should be attending. This goes for your cheating peers as well.

If you cannot handle the caliber of work through your own effort, then this school sin't the right place for you.

Just my 2 cents.......more like a dollar considering the length of my post, lol

So if you're good at sci&math, then why is your GPA so low...are you getting Ds in history? Lol...
