Chill Jobs.

Well back at my CC, I tutored English and Psych at the tutoring lab. It was the chillest job ever...I'd say for every fifteen minutes I worked, I must have spent like forty five minutes just doing homework or reading novels. So basically, I'm wondering if I could get as chill a job up here in Berkeley.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for 'chill' jobs? I really don't care if the pay is minimal as long as I get to do homework and read for most of the time. A nighttime job would be desirable (I'm an insomniac) so long as it doesn't put me in a position to get shanked.

I will pay the person who can gurantee me a chill job fifty dollars (whether by recommending me to a boss). etc. etc.

Also, sorry if this post doesn't make much sense (i've been awake since twelve am :( ). And thanks in advance to anyone who can help a CC homie out....

Cheers.

From what you've describe, library jobs might fit the bill. Or, work at a security monitor booth or something. That's all I can think of right now.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking into the more obscure libraries on campus (I'll probably roll friday or monday to check things out. Anyone want to come with?)

What security monitor booths do you speak of, honorable vis?

I dunno. There are probably places around the Bay Area. There's this one place I saw where the guy just sits around in a booth and occasionally a person will come and need to swipe, and then the guy goes back to reading. You know, places like that. Not Cal Football games though. Those people actually have to stand for hours as they swipe students in. Not fun.

ahhh, I'm mainly looking for places in Berkeley. But yeah dude, the football swiping sounds like too much work. I'm pretty lazy.

Right right...the place I mentioned was on Durant (near the units). But you know what I mean.

I too am interested in a job where I don't have to work. If anyone can find one please let me know.

I was looking at RCC openings, but the application is humongous (two recommendations - hard to obtain once you're stuck on campus, unless you make friends REALLY QUICK with some professors)!

The best "chill jobs" are those in department-specific libraries. Beware of possible discrimination based on major and "look."

DRab? anyone?

Good thing you're a banana.

Hope the Philo went well homie. :)

I don't really have anything to add, I just wanted to meet my goal of having a red star on all of the threads on the first page.

Smallz...LOL!!!

Snugglemonster: When you find a job that does not require working, will you sign me up too?? I want one of those too! But I am only available to work on Mon between 1-3 and Thurs between 2-4 and NO WEEKENDS!
